Coastal-based Bandari FC showed incredible character on Sunday afternoon to stage a dramatic 2-3 win away to Murang’a Seal at the SportPesa Arena. The Dockers managed to come back into the game both times they trailed, ultimately scoring a late winning goal in the last minute of added time. This extended Seal’s winless streak to ten games (D4 6L).

John Baraza’s decision to bring on Hamisi Mwaphalu proved to be a masterstroke as the player scored the late winning goal that secured the victory for the Dockers. Playing in front of their home fans, Seal got the dream start in the match when Titus Kapchanga scored from Joe Waithira’s corner kick delivery. However, the lead didn’t last long as the Harambee Stars international tapped into an empty net just four minutes later after a goalkeeping error.

The game then turned into an equal contest, with Bandari first controlling proceedings before Seal got back into their stride in the last quarter of the half. The second half saw Seal coming out strong, controlling proceedings and managing to take the lead with a goal from captain Peter Mwaura. However, the lead was short-lived as Francis Kahiro scored to level the game again.

The match ended with Mwaphalu scoring the winning goal against the run of play. Overall, it was a thrilling game that saw Bandari FC secure a hard-fought victory and extend Seal’s winless run to ten games.
