Arsenal back on top of Premier League after easy Man City win

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal secured a 3-0 victory over Brighton, ousting Liverpool from the top spot in the Premier League. Kevin De Bruyne’s brace and Erling Haaland’s 19th league goal helped Manchester City to a 4-2 win at Selhurst Park. Meanwhile, Everton ended their 13-match winless streak in the Premier League. Arsenal now leads the table with 71 points, just one ahead of Liverpool and tied on points with defending champions Manchester City.

The title race remains a thrilling three-way battle. Arteta’s Arsenal has now won 10 of their past 11 league games, displaying maturity and cleverness on the field. Despite missing some big chances, they maintained purpose and connection throughout the match. In their match against Brighton, Arsenal initially dominated and secured a penalty to take the lead before doubling it shortly after the hour mark.

On the other hand, De Bruyne’s leveled the score for Manchester City in the 13th minute with a curled shot, ultimately helping them secure the win. Elsewhere, Everton secured a much-needed win, while Aston Villa, Newcastle, and West Ham also secured victories in their respective matches.
