Emmaculate Anyango, a Hopeful Olympic Games Athlete, Names Her Role Model in Kenyan Sports News

Emmaculate Anyango achieved a significant victory and also finished second at the 10K Ibercaja Valencia road race in Spain. She completed the race in 28:57, becoming the second woman to run a 10km event in less than 29 minutes.

Anyango, a middle-distance runner from Kenya, looks up to two-time world champion Hellen Obiri as her role model. Obiri has an impressive career in road racing and track events, including winning two gold medals for Kenya in 5000m at the World Athletics Championships.

Anyango, who trains in Iten under the guidance of Coach Ken Rotich, recently won the Sirikwa Classic World Tour Cross Country Title. She expressed her surprise at running 28:57 in Valencia, attributing it to her hard work.

Anyango is currently preparing for the World Athletics Cross Country Championships and the Paris Olympic Games.
