Muguna, Okello asustan a su antiguo equipo mientras el sublime Kenya Police pone fin a la racha invicta de Gor Mahia

Tito Okello and Kenneth Muguna celebrated scoring against Gor Mahia, with Police scoring three goals in the second half to complete the comeback. Okello scored a brace and Muguna added the other goal.

The Kenyan champions Gor Mahia saw their unbeaten streak in the 23/24 Football Kenya Federation Premier League come to an end with a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Kenya Police. The result was agonizing for the K’Ogalo faithful as they saw their unbeaten streak end right in front of their eyes, with Police coming from behind to win, and Okello haunting his former employers with a devastating brace.

“We knew we would play a tough team today and so we trained on how to keep possession and that is what won us the game today. We stayed patient and I am glad about how we came back to win,” remarked Police’s Salim Babu after the game.

“We will be hurting tonight but next week we will be ready to go,” said Gor’s Johnathan McKinstry. In the match, it was Gor Mahia who got the perfect start as Austin Odhiambo scored the opener just six minutes in.

However, just two minutes later, Muguna almost provided some instant riposte for his side. It was until the 39th minute that Gor threatened again with Benson Omalla unleashing a long ranger that was parried out for a corner.

In the second half, Police emerged as a completely different team, controlling possession and eventually taking the lead with Okello’s goal. The turnaround was complete deep into stoppage time when Francis Kahata provided an exquisitely chipped pass into Okello’s path, and the South Sudan international found the bottom corner to bury his former employers.
