Okello, who is part of the 12-member squad traveling to Dubai, expressed her belief that the team is well-prepared for the upcoming games. She emphasized the importance of the team’s strong bond and how their recent residential camp at St. Andrews Turi helped strengthen their relationship. Okello currently plays for Pearls Women’s Rugby Football Club in Japan.
When discussing their opponents, Okello highlighted China as a formidable competitor. However, she expressed her confidence in the Lionesses’ ability to face any team in the tournament. The team’s first match will be against China on January 12 at 11:36 AM Kenyan time.
