Teams participating in the upcoming AFCON and Asian Cup tournaments will face the challenge of losing key players. However, Manchester City will not be affected, while Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and other teams will have to cope with the absence of influential players.

The AFCON will be held from January 13 to February 11 in Ivory Coast, while the Asian Cup will take place from January 12 to February 10 in Qatar. Burnley and Newcastle United are among the clubs that will not lose any players to these tournaments.

Unfortunately for Liverpool, they will be without Mohamed Salah, one of their most valuable players, who will represent Egypt in the AFCON. Salah has been instrumental for Liverpool this season, scoring 14 goals and providing 8 assists. Additionally, Wataru Endo of Tottenham Hotspur will be participating in the Asian Cup.

Tottenham will also be missing three other star players during the majority of January. Heung-Min Son (South Korea), Yves Bissouma (Mali), and Pape Sarr (Senegal) will all be absent. Meanwhile, Arsenal and Aston Villa will lose two and one player respectively, with Takehiro Tomiyasu (Japan) and Mohamed Elneny (Egypt) unavailable for the Gunners.

Nottingham Forest will be the most affected team, with six players missing. Brentford and Wolves will each be without four players. Manchester United and Chelsea will have to cope without three and one player respectively. Amad Diallo (Ivory Coast), Andre Onana (Cameroon), and Sofyan Amrabat (Morocco) are the trio from Manchester United expected to join their national teams. Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson will also be absent.

The absence of these key players will undoubtedly have an impact on the teams involved, and their respective coaches will need to find ways to compensate for their absence.
