AFC Leopards, the 12-time Kenyan champions, have announced the signing of Clifton Miheso and Kevin Kimani ahead of the new 2023/24 Football Kenya Federation Premier League season. The club unveiled their new kits for the season and confirmed the capture of a total of 20 new players. Fourteen players were signed in the current transfer window, while the remaining six were registered once the club’s transfer ban was lifted.

Clifton Miheso returns to AFC Leopards from Kenya Police, having previously played for the club in 2016 before moving to Golden Arrows in South Africa. Kevin Kimani, the 2011 Footballer of The Year, also makes a comeback to the club after his initial stint in 2017 and joins as a free agent following his time at Bandari.

Furthermore, AFC Leopards has signed six players from last season’s overachievers, Nzoia Sugar. The players from Nzoia Sugar include goalkeeper Humphrey Katasi, who won the Golden Glove Award, as well as Randy Bakari, Boniface Munyendo, Hassan Beja, Vincent Mahiga, and Yassin Sije.

In addition to these signings, Luke Wafula Namanda joins the team from Rwandan outfit Musanze FC, while Brian Yakhama, Brian Mandela, Gideon Were, Shawn Oloo, and Aziz Okaka join from Talanta, Mwatate FC, Mathare United, and Wazito respectively.

The club has successfully registered six more players, including Nesta Olum, Emmanuel Lwanga, Ronald Sichenje, Victor Otieno Ouma, Loren James Sati, and Abubakar Musha.

After a disappointing seventh-placed finish last season, AFC Leopards aims to challenge for the Football Kenya Federation Premier League title in the upcoming season.
